The scissors are larger than on previous knives I've had. The saw works great, and is perfect for cutting a walking stick to size. The can opener is quick and easy to use, and of course the knife blade is shaving sharp. I've used the tweezers to remove bee stingers. I can't imagine not having this small, useful tool with me at all times. Ah well. The fact that I immediately bought a new one should be testament to the fact that it is a really good pocket knife (to me).One gets a versatile mix of tools: two knifes, can and bottle opener, corkscrew, screwdriver and woodsaw, amongst others. The large knife doesn't lock and I could do without the small one (and get a file instead?) but I've had my old one for 15+ years and used it all the time. I've never had an issue with the case during that time so I wouldn't worry about it falling off. In fact the only problem I ever had was with the spring mechanism on a pair of scissors (on a Swiss Tool). Victorinx in any case offers a lifetime guarantee so none of this should be an issue. All in all a fantastic tool and when my friends at the TSA fancy this one I'll just get another. I have been using this model with red scales for more than twenty years and the perfect selections of tools with excellent quality simply hits a home run every time. I have used it to open and prepare game, make traps and do some wood work and carving, trim nails, I used it in opening packages and handling injuries in others and in myself including cuts and burns and stings, I have opened knots with the wine opener (I believe that is the first purpose of it but it does also open bottles well) The larger blade serves well in food preparation for one or two people and the smaller one does great detail work in first aid and in fire making. The saw is small but of excellent quality and works great for small limbs and for notches.
