I purchased this light after I had an incident back in early November. During this incident one of my fellow firefighters had this light. I was amazed on how bright and concentrated it was. It defiantly made our job easier. (Overhaul for the firefighters out their). The rear blue light feature is fantastic. I was able to see my brother from across the room. In our job accountability in critical! As all would tell you "no light cuts" through smoke. But if you're looking for a hands off feature this is the one. I'm a firefighter of 27years, combined career and volunteer and have had all the different fads and trends. This is one I will have for a long time. At least until I retire lol!

This is a great flashlight fits well on my leather helmet and the light is very very bright. The blue led on the back is very functional. I have mounted it both on the top of my brim and under the brim I have found the the top is best if you don't have a face shield. If you mount it under it will tend to turn left or right if you get hit by falling things.If they could change anything it would be to combine the set screw that holds it on the brim with the small wedge also provided.

As an active firefighter, as soon as I put the light on my helmet, I knew I made the correct choice in helmet lights. I have tried others, however, the brightness and focus of this light is exceptional, and the added blue LED backlight provides an added safety feature when on roadways and around moving traffic, as well, it provides an added benefit to those behind you to more easily see where you are at. Although this light is a little more expensive than others, I find this a "best in class". I highly recommend it, and although there are other, cheaper lights, there quite honestly is no substitute for a Streamlight (and I did not receive any endorsement money for this review). This is a definite "Should Buy".
