Scenic Pass/Apex 2/2XT - Footprint (Sports) First I must admit I have not yet used the item. I just wanted to make it clear that the footprint in the picture is not the one that you receive. The footprint that comes is the correct rectangular shaped one. I set it up with the Eureka Apex 2XT Adventure tent and it fits perfect. It is made of exactly the same material as the tent. I do not feel that it will provide a great deal of protection from anything bigger than a stick.I do a modeate amount of backpacking/hiking and am one who does not mind a little extra weight if it is worth it or needed. For somoneone who is a minalmist or is looking for a basic cloth...this would do perfect. Bottom Line: Buy it if you want something fancy and "custom" or just use a small tarp from Wal-Mart that costs maybe $10. |
