I used to purchase a pair of shoe to my daughter once every a month and half when she was in kindergarten. I guess she plays quite a bit on the playground as well as wear and tear from day to day activity. Her sneakers and runners would eventually worn off with a hole closed by the front toe area. I tried leather shoes, leather runners and sneakers, none of them would last more than 2 months until I got the Keen shoe for her. The sole is very comfortable and the front toes area with heavy duty rubber protector. Surprisingly, this keen shoe last for 4 months not because it worn off but my daughter outgrown the size. These, however lasted him till he outgrew them. The only other shoes he has outgrown rather than trash were Adidas shelltoes.
