Have had said lantern for a few months now. I use it for tail-gating mainly and it couldn't be better. This is a high output lantern first and foremost, so on the high setting it will sound like a blow torch, can be a little unsettling at first but if you think about it, to burn through a 16oz. bottle of propane in 4 hours, that's exactly what it is, a blowtorch. it throws a lot of light and some decent heat but it's not a heater. Instalight feature works some of the time but I usually just use a lighter, for the reviewer who said they needed a longer match, YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO LIGHT IT WITH THE GLASS AND TOP ON!!! Turning propane on in a somewhat sealed glass cylinder sounds unwise to me, very easy to light without the cover on, let the mantle burn itself into place and THEN cover it up with the glass and cage. Like with most lanterns(I've had 4 or 5) turning it to the lowest setting will give you a tonal whistle,...
