I just recieved this hammock today and gave it a good look. First off this hammock sells for 40.00 dollars by Hammock Bliss on thier website so getting it for 20.00 dollars is a steal. If you go to Hammock Bliss website this model is not shown because it was just released for sale about one month ago from what the owner of Hammock Bliss told me over the phone. It is compact, lightweight, and has sturdy triple stiched end seams. The rope looks strong and is integrated into the hammock. The dimensions of this hammock is not listed by amazon but they are 8 feet long by 4 1/2 feet wide, this is 2 feet shorter and 6 inches less in width than the single person Hammock Bliss shown on this site and Hammock bliss web site. If you are looking for a strong hammock that can hold your weight (350lb) and you want to get off the ground while taking those overnight hiking trips, (like me) this hammock will do the job well. Got the hammock bliss ultralight a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! Hardly weighs anything, very compressable, and is a BARGAIN! I chose this instead of the common ENO brand because it seemed like pretty much the same thing but about half the price, and I like to go against the crowd :) I have used ENOs before and I don't really like the slap straps that most people use for them. I would personally rather tie my own knots, and the rope that this hammock comes with is great. Only small complaint is that the ropes are a little short, so you have to pick smaller trees. But I have really had no problems with it. This is also rated to hold 100 pounds more than the ENO, and I fairly comfortably fit two people in it and we were fine. Makes a great chair too, especially when camping or backpacking. So I say go for this over the ENO. I'm a college student and am lucky enough to live in a Res Hall building with concrete walls that have grooves to hang things on on each side, so I decided to try hanging a hammock. I had to be a bit creative to hang it... I ended up with it firmly mounted to the walls using only a plastic spoon.Anyway, I've been quite happy with this hammock so far. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I've found it to be comfortable and surprisingly roomy for the "Ultralight" that I expected. I've even been able to fit two people on it, though we are both slender. It feels sturdy, holding about 250 pounds without any sign of strain. The only complaint I have, if you can call it a complaint, is that it generates lots of static because of the fabric's texture. Makes for a good prank or two occasionally. I'd buy this hammock again. |
