It's the perfect size, the baby blue color is beautiful and I can't wait to give this pak a go on my first hike. There's a couple pockets on the front of the pak that'll be spacious enough to store my hiking essentials and the bladder looks strong and sturdy. I'll post an update after my first magic break in.***update*** Just took my Magic on a 2.5 hour hike and it was a great and sturdy pack that allowed me to hike/run in comfort. Fits perfectly on my back with a few easy strap adjustments and I like the way it sits snug but not overbearing. The two pockets are quite small, just big enough to pack a small first aid kit, keys, phone, cards, ipod, and a small ziplock bag of trailmix. The pack is very lightweight. I packed it with my first aid/survival/leatherman as well as sunscreen, chapstick, kleenex. I still had plenty of room in the bottom open pocket (the area between the bottom pocket and the bladder pocket wall is available and easily fit two apples and nuts with room to spare). This is a open "pocket", but it holds even the top items securely even when removing the pack for rests. The top and the bottom zipper pockets each have separators and the top one has a key chain holder. This pack is really not large enough to carry lunch for a picnic or supplies for more than one person for 4-8 hours.Here's what I took on my first 4 hour hike with this pack Top pocket: Droid phone, kleenex, trial sized sunscreen and chapstick - could have fit a few more items. It is quite comfortable to wear and does not get in the way when hiking. I would recommend getting the mouth piece guard to keep mouth piece clean. The weight when filled is not too heavy, and it was really easy to clean. Do get the quick connect feature, as it makes it a lot easier to get the tank out of the carrier. Love this hydration pack.
